Zone Diet Recipes - Easy to make, fast and appetising diet recipes to help you lose weight
Zone Diet RecipesSome suggestions of Zone meals you might like to try. Remember you are aiming to eat 40% carbohydrates, 30% proteins and 30% fats.
Line a grill pan with lightly olive oiled cooking foil. Take a couple of trout fillets with the skin on and lightly brush with olive oil. Sprinkle with black pepper and salt and optionally put a couple of slices of onion on top. Grill on a high heat until the flesh of the trout flakes when touched with a fork ( usually 8 - 15 minutes dependent on heat ). Trout and almonds is another popular option, just fry some chopped almonds in a little butter and sprinkle over the trout. Serve with salad and rice. Cooking Time and preparation time - Half an hour or so.
Scrambled Eggs and Bacon Take four egg whites, splash in a little olive oil and an ounce or so of cheddar or mozzarella cheese ( low fat ) add salt and pepper to taste and stir. Grill one rasher of lean bacon or two turkey rashers and serve with a little wholemeal toast. If you prefer you can add cooked ham to the egg mix instead or the bacon or turkey rashers. You can also cook the eggs in the microwave if you prefer - cook in one minute or 30 second bursts, stirring vigorously with a fork between heating sessions. Cooking Time and preparation time - quick!
Chicken and Mushroom in Tomato Sauce Take a couple of chicken breasts and fry in a splash of olive oil untill almost cooked. Add a can of chopped tomatoes, half a chopped up pepper and two small cups of button mushrooms. Simmer for around a quarter of an hour untill the mushrooms and peppers are soft and the chicken is cooked. Serve with a small portion of your favourite veg and rice (serves two) Cooking Time and preparation time - Half an hour or so. |
